QuickCompetition is part of QuickFocus - a suite of online products by 6PM plc, that bring together productivity and educational tools as well as an email product and e-learning material for ICT and project-management novices and professionals.
Every month, the QuickTeam will be launching a new competition. For Sept-Oct 2012, the very first QuickCompetition is launched!
Topic:
"Great users are those who are knowledgeable and wiling to give up their oown personal achievement for the achievement of the user community."
User Involvement is Imperative.
When developing a business solution, it is a common thing to involve the people who would eventually be owning and using the solution.
No matter how good the business solution maybe, unless it is embraced by the business and user communities, the business solution will never deliver the business objectives and therefore the business will never derive the business benefits.
The Competition:
From your understanding of "User Involvement" and this principle, create the content that you believe would be sufficient and most appropriate to be published on this page. The chosen content will be made available to all QuickPM users along with your photo and name as the official winner.
In your own words share how you think it is best to implement Principle No 1– "Involving the User Representatives throughout the project lifecycle is a must".
Your paper should include real life examples. It is acceptable to write about existing projects, past projects and experiences that you have gained when the users were involved or not. If you have never worked on a project yet, it does not matter, in your paper simply state the fact and write about what you believe should be the rationale for involving the users.
