We invite paper proposals for the “Returning to Katrina: Bringing Hurricane Katrina Research Back to the Community” conference, June 4-5, 2010, University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, Long Beach, Mississippi.
Issue areas may include any area or application of community resilience from all academic disciplines, including disaster mitigation, geographic and scientific perspectives, and economic, political, and social resilience. The interdisciplinary conference seeks paper proposals from those who received grants to study the natural, social, political, and economic effects of Hurricane Katrina in its devastating wake to present their research to help communities threatened by natural disasters and chaotic disruptions to become more resilient in the future.
