Rice Business Plan Competition is designed to give collegiate entrepreneurs a real-world experience to fine-tune their business plans and elevator pitches to generate funding to successfully commercialize their product. More than 192 past competitors have launched their companies and are in business today. Past teams have raised more than US$397 million in funding. This year there is US$1.3m in prizes, 250 judges, 42 teams, 3 days and 1 winner.

How to apply:
The RBPC uses the iStart platform to manage applications. To enter, one individual from the team should complete the online enrollment form that can be found at the competition website.
1. Create a team and come up with a brilliant business idea.
2. Compile an Executive Summary and Video Pitch for your business idea.
3. Go to competition page and follow the instructions for how to register your team and upload your submission at the iStart platform. You have to go through all 4 steps before Noon CST Friday, February 17, 2012!
