Go Green in the City is an international case challenge for university business and engineering students around the world to find clever solutions for energy management. Take the opportunity to create an idea for intelligent energy management in the city! We are looking for talented students who want to compete against other students from all over the world. Take the opportunity - maybe you will be one of the finalists flown in to Paris in June, 2012.

Today, energy has become scarce, expensive and is undergoing a technology revolution. The energy sector is now re-inventing itself. There will be more investments in the sector in the next 25 years than there has been since the birth of electricity at the beginning of the 20th century! But the type of electricity we will have will not be the same as the one we have had in the past century.

We will have to balance the need for increased requirements for electrical power, with social progress and environmental protection. As a global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric makes the most of energy innovation opportunities.

How to apply?

The challenge is divided in to three steps which will all take part during the first half of 2012.

Step 1: Application – Pair up with a team-mate to apply. Show us a creative presentation of your idea for intelligent energy solutions in the city. Deadline March 1, 2012.

Step 2: Participation – The 100 best teams will be selected and asked to create a synopsis of a business case for their idea with the help of a mentor from Schneider Electric. These teams are guaranteed interviews for internships and exposure to job opportunities.  

Step 3: The Final – The 25 best teams will be invited to the city of light, Paris, in June 2012 to make their final presentations in front of a VIP panel of judges. The winning team will travel the world, stopping at Schneider Electric offices on the way, and be offered a job.
