The IIT Madras Symposium is an annually held conference, which aims to excite students about the problems Indian society faces today, and try solving them in a multidisciplinary and a holistic fashion. 50 of the brightest minds across the country, from engineering, arts and humanities backgrounds, come together to find solutions to some of the major problems our society faces now. This year the emphasis being on "rural education in India".

There are 5 tracks in the competition 1. Economics 2. Governance 3. Education 4. Systems architecture 5. Engineering

To participate, you have to answer the preliminary question for your chosen track, which have been put up on the website, and send the completed entries along with brief curriculum vitae (CV), and your contact details to symosium@shaastra.org by 15th August. On the basis of this, top 50 entries shall be invited to participate, while a further 10 shall be kept wait-listed, to be invited if any of the first 50 fails to participate.
