The Citi Financial IT Case Competition funded by Citi Foundation and managed by D.Net is the 2nd time in Bangladesh that gave opportunity for the young and talented minds from different public and private universities and let their talent shine through unique software and information system development for an ever demanding market for financial sectors. This was aimed at fostering a prudent attitude towards knowledge on business and technology amongst university students and gaining insights for real-life implementations. 

The main goal of this competition is to promote a culture of business and technology development amongst the future leaders of the country based on the local needs as well as global business demands. The essence of this competition is direct participation of the stakeholder in the process of development contest and this in turn creates awareness among the stakeholder on the huge possibility of adoption of technology in financial sectors.

In this competition, different public and private universities as well as institutions and individuals will participate and let their talent shine through solving IT case within the scope of the competition.

The universities will formulate teams based on the call for participation. The team composition requires combination of business and IT with four students in each team one faculty member as the Project Manager. The contest authority has full discretion to finalize number of teams from each university and institution.
