  The Zayed Future Energy Prize represents the vision of His Highness, the late Founding Father and President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, who championed environmental stewardship.  This annual award celebrates achievements that reflect innovation, long-term vision and leadership in renewable energy and sustainability.  We invite you to be a part of this vision and our commitment to finding solutions that will meet the challenges of climate change, energy security and the environment.

  The winner will receive a $1.5 million award for their innovative leadership in meeting our future energy needs. A celebration will be hosted on January 18th, 2011, in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

   

  Candidates will be judged using the following criteria:

  • Innovation: proof of cutting-edge concepts and solutions that solve today’s energy and sustainability challenges.
  • Long-term vision: demonstration of ability to scale through a commercially viable or sustainable business model.
  • Leadership: championing the vision in order to advance clean energy and sustainable solutions.

  Nominations and Submissions for the 2011 Zayed Future Energy Prize will be accepted until October 2010.
