The St. Gallen Symposium is a global forum that brings together leaders from business, politics, science, and society with talented young individuals to discuss and debate pressing global issues. Held annually at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, it aims to foster dialogue across generations and geographies, providing a platform where established leaders and emerging voices can engage in meaningful conversations.
The symposium is organized by students and has become a prestigious gathering for influential thinkers and future leaders, especially through its Leaders of Tomorrow program and Global Essay Competition.
Were you born in 1995 or later and are you enrolled in a regular university (Master’s level or higher)? Here is your chance to earn your place at the 54th St. Gallen Symposium on 7 and 8 May on the theme “Shifting Global Power”: Enter the 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 before 1 February 2025 to become one of 100 “𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄” and win a week-long trip to St.Gallen.
Nations in Asia, Africa and Latin America are increasingly emerging as new centres of global power. This shift towards a multipolar world is one of the fundamental trends today’s and tomorrow’s leaders need to deal with.
What is your innovative idea to address this development? Briefly describe a specific risk or opportunity in a specific field, including (but not limited to!) politics, business, economics, technology, sustainability or security.
Be bold and think beyond the status quo, while being as specific as possible.
