Rubicon’s mission is to end waste. As the leading software platform for waste and recycling, Rubicon can find solutions for almost every waste stream imaginable, so it is only fitting that we begin to set our sights on space waste as a new frontier. We are therefore proud to announce the launch of Project Clear Constellation™ by Rubicon®, a student design competition to reduce space debris.

Through our innovative competition, students from across the United States will submit design concepts to help tackle the critical, growing problem of space debris.

Our panel of experts, who bring nearly a century of combined experience in the space industry, will judge submissions, and the winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of $100,000. Our esteemed group of judges include:

-Dr. Marla Geha, Professor of Astronomy and Physics at Yale;
-Dr. Jonathan McDowell, Astrophysicist at Harvard-Smithsonian's Center for Astrophysics;
-The Honorable Mike Rogers, former U.S. Congressman and Chair of the Center for the Study of the -President & Congress' Security Space Program;
-Rick Ambrose, Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin Space; and
