About the competition
Mathalon Open #1 is a free online math tournament for students of all ages and countries, held live on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 16:00 UTC (17:00 CET, 11:00 ET, 8:00 PT).
Students get 90 minutes and five brand-new problems: three short-answer questions and two problems where they write a full solution. Every written solution gets feedback. Participants compete in one of three divisions (Junior, Intermediate or Senior) with gold, silver and bronze medals in each. No calculators or AI tools are allowed. Results are published within two days.
