To know more about our impact and work, you can check out our 2024 impact report here: https://www.180dc.org/resources/2024-impact-report. To help provide innovative ways for students to solve real-world problems whilst creating an impact for some of the largest and most impactful nonprofits globally, we launched in 2024 our global social-impact themed case competition.
About our case partner: Our partner for the 2025 edition of the Global Case Competition is Barefoot College International (BCI) (https://www.barefootcollege.org/). BCI is a global NGO equipping rurally remote communities with the tools and knowledge to achieve self-sufficient clean energy, educational, and economic resource access. BCI does this by training women as Solar Engineers, Educators and Entrepreneurs, and then equipping them to fully solar electrify their communities, and to implement educational and economic uplift programs. Communities living in rurally remote poverty are often prevented from taking control of their development by their reliance on costly, environmentally harmful fossil fuels that also impact human health. The Global Case Competition is a team-competition, which means you’ll need to find three or four team-mates to sign-up with!
To participate in the case competition, we ask a fee of 40USD per team to support our continuous efforts to grow and scale our impact.Rewards for the winning teams range from access to L&D kits, cash prizes, merch, features on socials & our website, certificates, fast-tracked access to programs and opportunities by 180DC.
