Visionnaires: Make Pianista Sing is a technical challenge launched by VisionSpace Technologies, designed to identify emerging talent in frontend development across Europe. This first edition invites students and recent graduates in technology-related fields to design and implement a user-friendly frontend interface for Pianista, an internal tool developed by VisionSpace to automate mission planning processes. The challenge focuses on real-world problem solving, using real APIs and production-level endpoints—no mock data or simulations.Participants will be expected to create a fully functional frontend application using React. The main objective is to simplify the interaction between the user and the Pianista backend, enabling users to submit mission parameters through a clean and intuitive interface, and then visualize the results returned by the API. The interface should handle real-time responses from the backend and display the output in a structured, accessible format. While not mandatory, participants are encouraged to explore interactive data visualization techniques, such as Gantt-like timelines, to enhance usability. The competition is open to individuals residing in any EU country or Erasmus+ associated country, who are either currently enrolled in higher education or have graduated within the past 12 months. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, and have experience or interest in frontend development, user experience design, and API integration. The challenge will run for a period of three weeks. Participants will receive access to documentation and a dedicated Discord server for support and announcements. Although this is an independent challenge, VisionSpace will provide technical clarification when needed. Submissions will be evaluated based on functionality, code quality, UI/UX considerations, and integration with the backend. At the end of the challenge, all valid submissions will be reviewed by a jury composed of professionals from VisionSpace. The top three projects will receive cash prizes, and the first-place winner will be offered a professional internship at VisionSpace. This internship can be formalized either through the Portuguese IEFP (for national candidates) or via the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme (for international participants), in cooperation with the winner’s home university. In addition to the main awards, selected participants may be featured on VisionSpace’s social media channels and receive honorable mentions. All participants who submit a valid project will receive a certificate of participation.Make Pianista Sing is more than a technical challenge—it is an opportunity to connect with a forward-thinking technology company, demonstrate your ability to work on real problems, and gain visibility in a competitive and highly relevant field. Whether you are passionate about frontend development, UI/UX, or building interfaces for real-world systems, this challenge gives you the platform to apply your knowledge and creativity. To participate, applicants must fill out a registration form—available in two versions: one for residents in Portugal, and one for residents of other EU countries. After review, selected candidates will receive access to all challenge materials, the API documentation, and community channels. Participation is free of charge, but spots are limited.Applications are open until 15 August 2025, and the final results will be announced on 26 August 2025. Don’t miss the chance to turn your skills into impact, and to take the first step toward a professional opportunity with VisionSpace Technologies.
